There’s not only the money you spend on the painter, or the time you take to do it yourself, but you might have to live with the results for quite a while! How It Started Our method has been making decorating easy for a long time, ever since the original Heritage Paints and Décor, was started at this location 19 years ago by Fred Knight and his wife, Faye. Fred formulated a fabulous range of subtle, muddy colours especially for those with ‘Period’ houses, covering anything from Early Victorian through to 1960s Moderne. And many of his colours are still just as relevant today, in updated versions that adapt to keep old houses in tune with new looks. How It’s Changing Times are always changing though, so to complement our Heritage Colour range, we’ve developed our Coloursphere range. This is a carefully selected, intensively researched palette of colours that suit the way we live now. We’ve gone for quality, not quantity, collaborating with interior designers to pick colours that are fresh and lively, and that suit the newest directions in homewares and furnishings. How we do it The most expensive part can be the mistakes you make. Getting an accurate view of what a colour will look like from a postage-stamp sized swatch on a colour chart can be next to impossible. That’s why we paint our colours onto great big boards. |
